Event Summary:
Perry L. Meyer Fine Art presents the forthcoming group exhibition featuring original limited edition etchings, lithographs, and other works on paper by important historical artists such as Alexander Calder, Salvador Dali, Joan Miro, Pablo Picasso, Clay Walker, and many more. The exhibition will be available for viewing beginning Friday, November 13, through Saturday, December 30, 2009.
The opening reception for this significant exhibition will take place on Friday, November 13, 2009, from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m., in conjunction with Kettner Nights presented by galleries & artists of The Art & Design District of Little Italy North.
Perry L. Meyer has been a private art dealer for 30 years, specializing in original graphics, limited edition prints, and other works on paper from the 18th century to contemporary works. With a keen eye and knowledge that he has acquired through his life-long love and passion for graphics and works on paper, Meyer opened a public gallery space in June 2006, located in the booming Art & Design District in Little Italy North in the historical Studio Arts Building on Kettner Blvd.
Exhibition Details:
The year ending exhibition of 2009 will consist of original limited edition etchings, lithographs and other works on paper from the gallery inventory by artists like Clay Walker (whose estate we represent), Arman, Alexander Calder, Christo, Roberto Matta, Salvador Dali, Andre Masson, Joan Miro, Milton Resnick, David Salle, Wunderlich, Hundertwasser, Norman Ives, Bernard Rosenquit and many other artists.
Some of the significant works on display will include a lithograph by Arman, a rare self portrait woodcut by Leonard Baskin, a mixed media lithograph by Christo “Wrapped Package on a Table”, a Calder lithograph titled “Red Dolphin” from 1960’s, a large rare carborundum etching by Milton Resnick, and an Alex Katz serigraph done for the olympics .
